CANCELLATION POLICY

Shall a booking be cancelled or modified after having closed the agreement but prior to the beginning of your rental period, Direkt Holidays is entitled to charge the following cancellation fees:

– until 43 days prior to the beginning of the rental period = 10%
– until 29 days prior to the beginning of the rental period = 50%

– until 20 days prior to the beginning of the rental period = 80%
– from 19 days prior to the beginning of the rental period = 100%

In case of cancellations starting 19 days before the arrival date or on the arrival date, the original total rental amount must be paid. The arrival of your notice at our booking office is a decisive (in case your notice arrives on a Sunday or during public holidays, the next working day is binding).

A fee of € 50,00 is to be charged for each cancellation.

 

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CORONA

 

Exceptional situations require exception regulations and therefore we have changed our cancellation and deposit conditions for you until further notice.

The following applies to your booking (arrival period May to October 2020):

At the time of the restrictions, we understand each booking as an option booking - this means for our guests: A free cancellation or rebooking is possible until we inform you about the stay in a timely manner and request final confirmation and a deposit. After that, the usual cancellation conditions of our terms and conditions apply.

For bookings (arrival period from November 2020) the following applies immediately:

Cancellations due to "force majeure, unforeseen events" (e.g. COVID-19), which make scheduled accommodation / lodging impossible and are not the responsibility of the landlord / Direkt Holidays, entitle them to the following cancellation process:

If the apartment / house has to be closed before arrival as a result of force majeure or by order of the authorities, the agreed rent and the charged ancillary costs will be reimbursed in the amount in which they have already been paid by the tenant.
A mandatory cancellation processing fee of 50 euros will be charged to each tenant.
A replacement service (alternative accommodation or other) to the tenant does not occur.

In all cases, the landlord / Direkt Holidays should announce such serious decisions in cooperation with the appointed committees or crisis teams and as early as possible.
Claims for damages are excluded for both parties in any case.

If there is a lockdown at the tenant's place of residence upon arrival for the booked travel period, the tenant will also be reimbursed the agreed rent and the charged ancillary costs in the amount in which they have already been paid.
A cancellation processing fee of 50 euros will be charged to each tenant.

In general, if you cannot leave your home town or travel to your booked holiday accommodation from 14 days before your arrival date due to officially determined Corona regulations, this can be canceled free of charge. Only a processing fee of € 50.00 is due here.

Cancellation insurance

 

We recommend you taking out a cancellation insurance when doing a booking. The cancellation insurance covers the cancellation costs in case of cancellation of the booking due to sickness, accident as well as in case of the death of the renter, the fellow traveler or any other close relative (a medical certificate needs to be shown under the circumstances stated above).
