Gerlossteinwand Via Ferrata

Created in 2007 between the villages of Zell im Zillertal and Gerlos, this was the first via ferrata in the valley. The 380 mtere-long Gerlosstein via ferrata, which takes you across a 240 metre-high rockface on the mountain of the same name, offers an unforgetable alpine experience. Special taster courses are available for newcomers to the sport on the via ferrata which was created by the local mountain rescue team in collaboration with the Zillertal Arena. The local mountain sports schools offer expert advice and accompany beginners along the route, the starting point of which can be easily reached using the Gerlosstein cable car.

Riederklamm practice via ferrata

The newly constructed Riederklamm practice via ferrata offers various routes of different levels of difficulty enabling you to gain and improve skills for more challenging and longer tours. A platform hasbeen constructed at the entry point offering access to various practice via ferratas.

The Riederklamm climbing wall is just a five-minute walk from Ried. Follow the walking trail no. 9 past the Stockahof


At Klettershop Zillertal you have the opportunity to rent all the equipment for climbing, consisting of helmet, chest and hip belt, carabiner and safety ropes.
